The Catholic Order of Foresters is a non-profit, fraternal organization devoted to the family. The COF's began in 1883 when impoverished immigrants were streaming into he United States, seeking a better life. When tragedy struck the breadwinner, friends and family collected money to pay for burial expenses and to keep families from starving. COF's grew from this foundation into a society dedicated to providing members with financial security and opportunities for spiritual, social, and charitable growth. St. Aloysius COF's Court 2172 has served the families of St. Aloysius since 1959. We are one organization formed into the following two courts:
1) Adult Court: comprised of Catholic men and women, over the age of 18. We typically meet the third Friday of January to May and September to November. Check the weekly bulletin for meeting information and changes. The meeting begins with dinner at 7:30 PM.
2) Forest Rangers (Youth Court): membership is available from birth to 18 years of age. Thanks to strong youth leaders and participation and support of our parents, the Forest Rangers have been an extremely active and successful group since the Court was founded.
For additional information about either group, contact Julie Burwinkel - President Adult Court, (738-4233) or Lori Harrison, Forest Rangers Youth Director/Financial Secretary, (738-3673) for information about joining the Foresters, Forest Rangers, or upcoming activities.
